When the blackout of August 2003 hit the east coast of the US, RFA's Business Continuity Center located in Purchase, NY, operated flawlessly. Using its advanced array of battery and generator-backed electrical and communications redundancies, as well as XOsoft's WANSync, the RFA site did not lose a moment of availability at any point during its first, full-scale disaster. Hedge fund clients, whose critical servers are connected to RFA's data center through multiple redundant T1 lines, were able to continue monitoring and trading their portfolios effectively from office space adjacent to the data center despite the blackout.
