WANSync Server is installed on two Network Attached Storage (NAS) replica servers at the regulator's headquarters. Additional WANSync Servers are installed on master servers located at three different remote offices, from which information is gathered to the main office. WANSync Server is configured to replicate information from the two master servers in the remote offices to one of the replica servers at the headquarters in real-time, with updates. Similarly, the third master server is replicated to the second replica at the main office.
The primary regulator of all federally chartered and many state chartered thrift institutions in the U.S, which includes savings banks and savings and loan associations, has to effectively supervise thrift institutions nationwide, and maintain their safety and soundness. It is therefore essential that the regulator's headquarters staff gain unhindered access to data accumulated at its regional offices located in four different states.
