Q. What is the difference between the usage of the "rewind technology" in CA XOsoft Replication (formerly CA XOsoft WANSync) vs. CA XOsoft CDP Solo (formerly CA XOsoft Enterprise Rewinder)?
A. CA XOsoft's Replication / High Availability solutions have built-in rewind technology which occurs on the replica/secondary server. With the CA XOsoft Replication suite, any "data rewinding" to a previous state can only be done on the replica server. CA XOsoft CDP Solo is designed to be installed on the Production/Master Server only in a stand-alone, server-based form. Should a corruption occur, the "rewind" functionality is available directly on the production server, making time to restore from data corruptions that much faster.
