Q. What is the difference between CA XOsoft Replication (CA XOsoft WANSync) and CA XOsoft High Availability (CA XOsoft WANSyncHA)?
A. CA XOsoft High Availability offers a superset of the capabilities of CA XOsoft Replication. In particular, CA XOsoft High Availability adds the capability for push-button or automatic failover of clients from the production server to a secondary replica server, without any need to reconfigure clients, as well as the ability to automatically monitor the status of the production server and the applications running on it. Once the Master server is restored to its original state, CA XOsoft High Availability allows the IT administrator to reinstate the Master Server with the push of a button, automatically failing back from the Replica with no loss of data or application availability.
